Pet Aesthetics is a full service grooming salon in the heart of Southbury, Connecticut. They offer a wide range of services, including the following treatments:
- Full grooming packages: includes bath, blow dry, brushing, styling, nail clipping and ear cleaning
- Pet-a-cures:
Your dog's nails are trimmed, filed and cleaned
- Paw treatments: The fur on your dog's paw pads is trimmed, then pads are massaged with moisturizing and protective cream
- Oral hygiene maintenance: Plaque is removed from your dog's teeth

In addition to their grooming services, Pet Aesthetics offers a wide variety of food, healthy treats and fun toys for your companion animals. After a busy day at the salon, pet parents can reward their fur kids with a bag of freeze-dried salmon treats, a bully stick, or a new squeaky toy. Also available in the store are holistic and natural foods, supplements, and raw diets.
Carrying Ethics Into Business
Importantly, Pet Aesthetics appreciates the value of dog rescue. The following is an excerpt from their FAQ page:
Q: I'm looking for another pet companion. Since you're in the pet business, do you know where I can get another puppy besides a pet store?
A: As you may suspect, purchasing a puppy from ANY pet store is only supporting puppy mills and the pet brokers who do not care for the welfare of animals. As such, we do not support or endorse any pet store selling live animals. With thousands upon thousands of dogs that are homeless and in shelters or foster homes, we advise anyone looking for another "great" pet companion is to walk into their local ASPCA, county shelter or look up a specific breed rescue group over the internet. All of these public and private facilities have healthy, loving and adoptable pets (even puppies!) looking for a new home.
Pet Aesthetics follows this advice with several links to local and national rescue organizations and resources, including a greyhound rescue organization, Animals for Life, and Petfinder.
When deciding what companies to support, people can use their wallets to determine the fate of dogs. Individuals cast their vote by supporting companies promoting rescue and other pro-dog initiatives. Pet Aesthetics is clearly one of those companies.
